CrossWorkers is looking for highly motivated students/ fresh graduates for a three-month Internship in the Software Development Department

The internship starts in July and ends in September 2025.

Location: Cairo Office, New Cairo

Eligibility:

• Fresh graduates and 4th-year students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any relevant field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and regularly communicate progress, blockers, and learnings within an Agile team.
• Assist in the design and implementation of small, well-scoped software components across both frontend and backend.
• Learn to navigate and work within a Microservices architecture, including understanding service boundaries, contracts, and RESTful Web APIs.
• Implement, test, and help debug C# code for new features
• Write clean, readable, and reliable code, following established coding standards and best practices.
• Shadow and contribute to code review.
• Participate in deployment activities and assist with continuous integration pipelines (builds, smoke tests, basic Docker usage).

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

• Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles (classes, inheritance, interfaces, SOLID).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with a willingness to ask questions and seek mentorship.
• Enthusiasm for fast-paced learning and adapting to new technologies in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and ability to write simple MS SQL queries.
• Understanding of HTML, TypeScript, and common web development frameworks (e.g., React).
• Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs communication.
• Exposure to Git and modern version-control workflows (branching, commits, pull requests, merge-conflict resolution).
• Security basics: high-level understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (e.g., JWT)
• Experience with writing basic unit tests (MSTest or similar) is a plus.
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication (e.g., gRPC, Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Exposure to Azure or Azure DevOps is a plus.
