About the Role
CrossWorkers is looking for a Business Development & CRM Specialist to join our Marketing department. This role sits at the intersection of sales and marketing, owning our CRM (ActiveCampaign) and acting as the connective link that keeps leads, insights, and priorities flowing smoothly between both teams.
We're looking for someone who can connect the dots across departments, dig into research independently, and bring structure to ambiguity — someone proactive, persistent, and genuinely curious about how to make the sales and marketing engine run better.
What You'll Do
CRM & Sales-Marketing Sync
Own and maintain ActiveCampaign as our core CRM, ensuring data integrity, smooth workflows, and accurate lead tracking.
Act as the day-to-day link between sales and marketing, proactively surfacing insights, blockers, and opportunities between both teams.
Build, monitor, and continuously refine our lead scoring system in collaboration with sales.
Independently follow up with the sales team to flag hot leads, unblock stalled deals, and ensure timely action.
Identify gaps or bottlenecks in the lead-to-sale process and propose improvements.
Lead Enrichment
Research and enrich leads from trade shows, job fairs, and other channels.
Prioritize and categorize leads by potential value.
Use tools such as Albacross and ActiveCampaign to fill lead data gaps.
Sales & Marketing Research
Conduct competitive analysis.
Track industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
Support CrossPay initiatives and broader market research.
Ambassador & Influencer Relations
Build and nurture ambassador and influencer relationships.
Manage ambassador activity on the CrossWorkers agent platform.
Lead Engine & Database Management
Nurture leads, verify decision-makers, track hiring signals, and maintain an accurate lead database.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Strong research skills and a knack for finding and verifying information independently
Comfortable working with CRM systems; ActiveCampaign experience is a plus
Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and comes up with ideas without waiting to be asked
Able to work independently with little supervision and navigate ambiguity
Persistent, communicative, and relationship-driven — comfortable building rapport with sales teams, ambassadors, and influencers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Prior experience in business development and sales operations
