A senior Backend Engineer (Java or Kotlin) is needed to join us.

CrossWorkers is a Danish-owned IT Offshore company with many years of experience in IT and IT Offshore/Nearshore in several countries. We work with customers in Europe and in the GCC area, where we have long relations with our customers.

Responsibilities:
•As part of our cross-functional team you will help us develop scalable services, and design APIs with frontend engineers.
•You will work closely with designers, architects, engineers, and product managers to find the best solution, thereby shaping our apps' offering. Work with modern technology on a tight, well-tested code base.
• Participate in the full software development life-cycle of a consumer app
• Write clean, simple and well-tested code
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to design the right APIs
• Work with architects and security engineers to ensure security and privacy compliance of our services.

What we are searching for:
You are a team player who collaborates with developers, testers, and product owners to create an amazing user experience. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have excellent interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating efforts across teams. You are a fast learner and comfortable working with little direction.

Requirements: 

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in backend and infrastructure engineering is a Must.
• Excellent knowledge of Java, or ideally Kotlin, and Spring Boot, building scalable backend systems.
• Experience designing REST-based web service APIs.
• Hands-on experience with DB technologies (RDBMS/NoSQL).
• Experience in implementing unit tests and test automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD processes and code deployment.
• Good understanding of Docker and K8s.
• Good Knowledge of SDK.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms preferably with AWS.
• Previous experience in Maps or Google Maps / Navigation is a Plus.
